Review:
I've had the SG2.5 for about four months and I have to admit I'm a big fan. I didn't want to go for the colour screen for my first GPS and all the reviews online recommends Skycaddie. The set-up on my PC was so easy and after paying for the subscription I was able to download all the courses I needed with a few clicks of a mouse and hey presto, I'm good to go. I played my first scramble on Sunday and the SG2.5 was not alone. A 5 & 14 handicapper both had a Skycaddie which all came into great use, we came second (lost by 0.9 shots!) and I won £25.00. Not the lottery but enough for a dozen balls.
Pros: Stylish, Handles well, Increases accuracy, Lightweight, Durable

Title: Great GPS

Review:
Purchased this GPS system last weekend and used it for the first time the next day. After looking at a variety of GPS rangefinders, I decided to go for the Skycaddie SG2.5 as it has all the great features of the SG5 without the large price tag for a colour screen. After using the SG2.5, I can safely say I made the right choice. The features are excellent, with distances to many targets. The Intelligreen feature is especially good, allowing the pin placement to be changed. I am yet to find a fault with the Skycaddie and have been extremely impressed by both the features of the unit and the number of courses offered by SkyGolf to download. I have taken out a years subscription to the cheapest service they offer, which is £30 a year. This allows you to download courses in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, which is all I need at the moment. I would recommend this product to anyone. After testing some of the cheaper models on the market I would definitely recommend spending the extra bit of money on a unit such as the Skycaddie SG2.5 which has distances to hazards as well as the green.
Pros: Stylish, Increases accuracy, Lightweight, Durable, easy to use, saves time

Title: Best GPS in its price range

Review:
Picked up the Skycaddie SG2.5v 2009 from the Maidstone store. Jason there was very helpful and knew his stuff, I did buy another GPS unit from another internet company recently and had a real bad experience, so being burnt once I was a little hesitant, but I needed a GPS unit so took the plunge, and I can’t be more happier, not only with first class service, but an amazing product as well. From opening the box you get the feel that this is a quality product, not flimsy like some other makes out there! The screen is nice and bright and very easy to read, I was a little worried at first about the screen being small, but again, it’s just the right size, holds all the info you need, and fully customisable as to what information you want to see on screen. It also will automatically change to the next hole when you approach it, shows distance to bunkers and obstacles, lets you change the position of the pin on the green to get more exact yardage rather than just in the centre. Has a great backlight for those twilight rounds too, which switches off after 30 seconds of use to save battery. Another neat thing is it has a quick release belt clip which is very handy, no wrestling it off and onto the belt.
The software is again easy to install and so simplistic its a breeze. It gives you options as to which service you want to subscribe to, then off you go, download the courses, a doddle, and it holds up to 20 courses. So overall, incredible value for money, easy to use unit, and software. Great service from American Golf Maidstone....The Skycaddie SG2.5v 2009 is a pleasure to take on the course.
Pros: Increases accuracy, Lightweight, Durable, user friendly, great value
