Title: Best piece of kit in the bag! Date: June 22, 2010
Review:
Bought one of these at Christmas but simply didn't have time to use it till now.

Hand unit is about the size of an old mobile phone from the late 90's with a non retractable aerial. Buttons are positive and the screen is easy to read in doors and out. You can adjust the brightness if needed.

The subscription process is easy to follow and not overly expensive given what you are getting. Once done, picking out your courses from the database works well and can be managed on your home PC. The hand unit holds a limited number of course which can be edited when eve ryou wish.

The battery on hand unit lasts ages. I managed to play 3 rounds on the same charge. I kept the screen brightness at a medium level. The kit comes with a car re-charger, USB lead and nice tote bag.

I was amazed how accurate it is. Can now see some inaccuracy in the 150 markers at my home course!! Take an extra club!

The functionality is logical and shouldn't give anyone who can manage a mobile phone any difficulty. Can take a few games to get used to the abreviations on the screen. You can print out a crib sheet fromthe web site if neccesary.

I like the "mark" facility which measures how far you have hit a ball. Great for the ego but also useful on the range to measure average hitting distance.

Finally, the unit will also record your score and can upload it to your own course profile for your to manage.

Wish I had this when I was 20 years old........

I have added a protective skin and a screen guard to protect it from knocks and bumps.

Buy with total confidence.
Pros: Stylish, Increases accuracy, exceptional battery life, it really works !
Cons: Expensive
